Grace Pettis, Allie Farris, with Mitch Derrow

Grace Pettis teamed up with Allie Farris and Mitch Derrow to deliver a one of a kind music experience.   Collectively they brought together traditions of folk, pop, rock and jazz to deliver masterful songwriting and musicianship.  Both Grace and Allie are  respectable solo artists in their own right, but as a duo they offer a performance experience of the highest caliber; with Mitch’s background vocals, they create strong three-part harmonies.

Grace Pettis’ heartfelt melodies and poetic lyrics have gained her national acclaim, winning ‘Best Song’ for NPR’s 2009 Mountain Stage New Song Contest, Grand Prize and ‘People’s Choice’ award for the 2010 Wildflower Performing Songwriter Competition, and most recently, Grace has been selected as a Finalist in the 2011 Kerrville New Folk Contest.  Allie Farris is a masterful pianist and she has studied Jazz Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas College of Music and Songwriting at Berklee College of Music.  Scott Mulvahill graduated from the University of North Texas as an accomplished

Their live performance consisted of an equal distribution of Grace’s and Allie’s material, coupled with superb instrumental and vocal support.  This performance arrangement allowed the trio to retain the distinct qualities of each performer’s musical background while combining their influences into something that is truly original and refreshing.
