Jesse Terry

On a rainy August evening in 2014, Jesse, his lovely wife Jess and his faithful dog, Jackson Browne, visited Monkey House and played before a full house.  His ability to tell the stories behind the songs, his mastery of the guitar, and his incredibly beautiful songs won everyone's heart.

Watch him perform a song he wrote featured on CW's Heart of Dixie.

Jesse Terry’s music has been compared to that of Ryan Adams, Jackson Browne, Paul Simon, and James Taylor.   In support of his two full-length albums, his live work includes recent support slots for Darrell Scott (member of Robert Plant’s Band of Joy), Tony Lucca, Liz Longley and Rachel Platten. He has shared festival stages with artists such as Shawn Mullins, Dar Williams, David Wilcox, and Lori McKenna  He is a regular at venues such as The Bluebird Café in Nashvile, Club Passim in Cambridge, and Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta.

Terry released his second album Empty Seat On A Plane on July 10th of 2012 and was immediately featured on iTunes “New and Noteworthy” and “Discover This” pages. Songs off the new record have already been featured on the CW’s “Hart of Dixie” and PBS’s “Roadtrip Nation.”

Jesse’s awards include a Grand Prize in several international songwriting competitions, including the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, the CMT/NSAI Songwriting Competition, the Ourstage.com 2012 Finals and the We Are Listening Singer/Songwriter awards.  The esteemed “New
